April Five Favorites

Hello lovelies! I am starting a new monthly segment on Darsi Stitches called Five Favorites, where I will feature five of my favorite knit, crochet, or yarn related products of the month. The changing of the seasons has really got me in to trying new things so I’m excited to share my list for April. Without further ado, here are my April Five Favorites!

1. Yarn Bowl from Color Me Mine

My fiance and I went on a date to Color Me Mine, a ceramics studio which allows you to paint your own pottery. I chose to do a bowl, which is now used as a vessel for my working yarn. As you can probably tell from the photo, painting is not my forte, but I still loved the way my bowl turned out. Those are supposed to be alpacas, if you are wondering 😉

2. Tassel Maker by Clover

This wonderful tassel-making tool can make several different sized tassels which can be used for jewelry, home decor and, yes, knit and crochet projects. I made yarn tassels which were added to my crochet triangle scarf. The tassels are robust in size and added the perfect finishing touch to my scarf. I cannot wait to add tassels to, well, pretty much everything!

3. “Alpaca my Yarn” project bag

This adorable little tote combines two of my favorite things – alpacas and puns. As a person who travels a lot, I love finding cute project bags. I can now ‘paca my yarn and bring it with me everywhere!

4. Wonderland Yarns in “Mad Hatter”

The braided skeins drew me in, the color scheme made me buy! This set comes with 6 mini skeins of sport weight yarn. The perfect amount for creating a full scarf. I am using this yarn in my current WIP. It’s so soft and easy to work with. I can’t wait to share the finished product!

5. The Knitter’s Directory: 150 Scandinavian Motifs

I just learned how to knit using charts a few months ago from a class that was offered at my local yarn store. Of course, this book spoke to me immediately. It contains 150 easy-to-read charts for some whimsical Scandinavian designs. Everything from cats to flowers to snowflakes – I can’t wait to incorporate these fun designs in to a future project!

That’s my April Five! Have you tried any of these products? If so, what did you think? Sound off in the comments below.

Be sure to follow all of my yarn adventures on Instagram @darsi_stitches and come back next month for my May Five Favorites!
